We understand that life circumstances can change, and making the decision to surrender a pet is never easy. Our team is here to support you through the process with care and compassion.
We appreciate your patience as we receive countless applications on a daily basis.
When surrendering an animal please be aware of the following process:
Fill out the appropriate application with as much detail as possible. Your honesty is needed and appreciated so that we may best assist as many animals as possible.
You will receive an email with an outcome for your application. We appreciate you understanding that we cannot accept all animals due to our limited resources.
If your application is accepted please be prepared for a call from the WRHA team to schedule an intake exam.
Upon the intake exam— if your animal is formally accepted as a surrender— we kindly ask for a donation to help care for his/her uptake while he/she is under our care.
